Bergamot Oil (Organic, bergapteen free)

Our essential Bergamot Oil, (botanically: Citrus bergamia) originates from controlled organic farming. The hybrid plant of lime and bitter orange is cultivated in orchards on Italiy’s southern coast, Reggio di Calabria and Sicily. The name already suggests its origin: The city of Bergamo in Lombardy, Italy.

The extracted oil from the cold-pressed, fresh and acidic green peel of the fruit has a pleasantly fresh and invigorating aroma.
Both cooling and refreshing, and balanced with sweetness, the scent of citrus and green notes with a slight floral-bitter undertone allures your senses.

Use in aromatherapy

Bergamot is one of the most commonly used essential oils in perfumery.
Its sweet freshness produces a rich top note that gives many an „Eau de Cologne“ its first “fresh fragrance kick”.
Even the legendary Earl Grey tea owes its taste and scent to bergamot.

In holistic medicine this essential oil is applied for pain and inflammation, helps with uninvited bacterial or fungal infection and assists in relieving muscle cramps.

Emotionally and energetically, bergamot calms and relaxes body and mind. Feelings of anger, anxiety or frustration are eased. With its pleasant fragrance it enhances a welcoming climate in your home as a fragrant oil.

– Do not use essential oil undiluted

– Keep out of reach of children

– If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic, epileptic or undergoing medical treatment, please consult your doctor before use.

– Avoid contact with eyes, skin and mucous membranes.

Caution: Since Bergapten can extremely sensitize the skin to light (phototoxicity), always pay attention to the designation “BPF”. Only then you should use this essential oil in skin care.
