Sweet Birch Oil

Organic birch oil is obtained by distillation from the bark of Betula lenta, native to North America. This essential oil has a captivating aroma that is fresh, minty and at the same time sweet to balsamic. Compared to birch tar oil, it is more refreshing.

Birch essential oil is used to relieve mild pain and local inflammation due to its natural salicate content. It has similar chemical and therapeutic properties as wintergreen essential oil.

Traditionally, sweet birch oil was used externally as an astringent. It is one of the most effective toning and tightening agents for cellulite. In folk medicine, birch is considered a blood purifier and is used to help detoxify skin blemishes, acne and rheumatism.
