Hemp oil – A true moisturiser
Hemp oil is obtained by gently cold pressing the seeds. They consist of about 35 percent fat. In addition, there are vitamins (E, B1, B2) and carotenoids. The oil gets its light green colour from the chlorophyll it contains.
Hemp oil owes its moisturising properties to the polyunsaturated fatty acids besides omega 3 and 6, linoleic acid, alpha-linoleic acid and especially gamma-linoleic acid. Together they bind moisture in the skin, protect it from drying out and promote cell regeneration. Linoleic acid has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties that make it tolerable for particularly sensitive and dry, especially neurodermitic skin.
The minerals contained (calcium, iron, magnesium, sodium) are skin-friendly, care for and support cell protection. Together with the vitamins, they are considered good protection against harmful environmental influences.
Hemp oil is very well absorbed by the skin, provides it with nutrients and smoothes it, because its essential fatty acids are very similar in composition to the skin.
The oil is also ideally suited for hair care. Thanks to the cell-stimulating fatty acids, the oil can also stimulate hair growth and reduce dandruff. Since it is not greasy and is quickly absorbed, it is excellent for split ends and brittle hair.
