Gentle Almond Oil. A wonderfully light oil especially for sensitive skin.

Our almond oil is cold-pressed from the unroasted almond. Its subtle fragrance is reminiscent of marzipan. In its composition it is very similar to apricot kernel oil, but has a somewhat stronger consistency. It is rich in essential fatty acids as well as vitamin E.

Almond oil has a high content of (single and double) unsaturated fatty acids. Almond oil is characterised by a high oleic acid content and consists of approximately one third linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acid) and two thirds oleic acid (omega-9 fatty acid). The linoleic acid regulates the water balance of the skin and provides it with optimal moisture. The oleic acid is very important for maintaining the elasticity and hydration of the lipid layer of the skin.

Almond oil is absorbed well into the skin and has a very pleasant, discreet scent. It is therefore also very popular as a massage oil.

The all-rounder almond oil is also suitable for hair care. It is perfect for dry and split hair. It is massaged into the ends of the hair and left to work in either with or without a cap (the effect of the almond oil is more effective with heat). When the oil treatment is then washed out with shampoo, the hair is light and silky afterwards. The almond oil effect reduces dry scalp without making it greasy. It also provides valuable nutrients for the hair when applied as a warm oil treatment.

Due to its mildness, almond oil is also ideal for baby care.
