LITSEA OIL (Organic)
Our essential Litsea Oil is steam distilled from the ripe berries of the evergreen mountain pepper tree (Litsea cubeba). Is is an 100% naturally pure essential oil. With its fragrant flowers and leaves, Litsea Oil is also known as exotic verbena or tropical verbena. Litsea Oil refreshes the user with a sweet, green and lemony aroma with delicate woody-floral undertones. The scent is often compared to that of lemongrass, even though it is much more subtle. The high citral content (up to 85%) in Litsea Oil is exceptional and accounts for the dominant lemony aroma.
APPLICATION IN PERFUMERY AND AROMATHERAPY
Litsea Oil replaces synthetic citral in many perfumes and has strengthening qualities for mental and physical well-being.
Bright, lemony and energising, Litsea Oil is best known for its use when you have skin problems. The astringent properties of this essential oil – sparingly dosed – make it a fine choice in facial tonics for e.g. acne treatment or general skin rejuvenation. Litsea Oil with its powerful aroma is particularly suitable for inhalation to relieve breathing difficulties during colds. With its fresh, lemony and green aroma, Litsea Oil is often used in air fresheners and diffusers for a fresh and pleasant room climate.
Emotionally and energetically, litsea is said to have clarifying and uplifting properties. It is said to help with concentration problems, but also to relax the mind as a sleep aid.

It has a light, refreshing scent and absorbs well into my skin without leaving any residue. I’ve noticed that it helps to reduce redness and soothe my skin after a long day. However, I wish the bottle had a dropper for easier application. Overall, I would recommend this oil for those looking for a natural, refreshing option.
